Smithy Bridge is now home for me. I have known it most of my life and enjoyed many a happy hour in the area. Memories of walking round Hollingworth Lake, rock scrambling and climbing on Blackstone Edge, are forever part of me.

We now live close to Hollingworth Lake and Rochdale Canal. After over 30 years of being away, I am happy to be back home, amongst the rolling hills of the South Pennines.
Óbidos, Portugal
Óbidos is a spectacularly preserved medieval walled town in central Portugal, located about 85 km north of Lisbon. Crowned by a formidable 13th-century castle, it is famous for its cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses, and traditional cherry liqueur, Ginjinha.
